Did you know… In Greek Mythology Daphne was a beautiful naiad (a type of female nymph associated with fountains, springs, streams and brooks) who was pursued by Apollo. Trying to escape Apollo’s clutches Daphne’s father, the river god Ladon transformed Daphne into a laurel tree.
Planted by the grade 5/6 gardening team last year the Daphne is filling the air with a beautiful rose-citrus perfume.
